Aliva Ariacovering® commission creates UK first

Architectural solutions specialist Aliva UK’s multi-million pound commission on a flagship development in the North West of England has facilitated a UK first for Levantina’s Techlam® ceramic stone panels.

The façade specialist has been commissioned to install striking ceramic stone and aluminium rainscreen cladding on the luxury 24 storey residential development X1 The Gateway.

Aimed at young professionals looking for a cosmopolitan home, the development boasts sleek interior and exterior aesthetics complemented by a prime waterfront location.

Aliva UK’s Ariacovering® rainscreen system is the design answer to the aesthetic requirements of using large sized lightweight cladding. Modules on X1 The Gateway are 2.9m standard size with bonded returns to individual elements of the building.

Ariacovering® in natural limestone ceramic has been specified alongside aluminium in orange/bronze hues – colourways created bespoke for X1 The Gateway’s architect DK-Architects.

The project in Salford marks the first time Techlam® panels have been used in the UK for large format ceramic external cladding.

Ariacovering® means it is possible to assemble Techlam® panels starting from 3+mm.

James Ormerod, MD of Aliva UK, said:

Our Ariacovering® system and Levantina’s Techlam® ceramic stone panels are breaking new ground in the UK in terms of large size lightweight external cladding.

This is a flagship development in the North West on a waterfront location with contemporary, sleek and stylish ceramic stone and aluminium rainscreen cladding solutions.
