Aliva UK shortlisted for prestigious award

A regeneration project at Greenwich Peninsula in London has put Aliva UK on the shortlist for a prestigious prize in the Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) awards 2016.

Aliva beat off strong competition to reach the final line-up with Regency Plastering in the domestic new build category of the competition, while architects Jestico + Whiles go forward for the Architectural Design Award.

Greenwich Peninsula, one of the largest schemes in Europe, brings thousands of new jobs, state-of-the-art new homes and a vibrant community to the area on the banks of the Thames near the O2 Arena.

Aliva supplied 5,500sqm of white acrylic TermoK8 insulated render to give a crisp, pared back look for an eight storey residential block of 240 apartments. Jestico + Whiles wanted to provide a ‘calm, understated composition’, which they said Aliva achieved ‘beautifully with a very neat, crisp finish throughout.’

Aliva Managing Director James Ormerod said: “We are very proud to be through to the INCA finals along with our installation partner Regency Plastering, and Jestico + Whiles who have a well-deserved place in another category for this landmark project.”

The winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner in London on 20 October.
