As an industry-leader in sustainable solutions, Aliva UK is proud to be a headline sponsor of the AJ Retrofit Awards 2016, which take place this week.
Fresh from co-hosting a prestigious Architects Journal AJ100 event for Future Leaders of the profession, Aliva is proud to follow on with sponsorship of the sector’s flagship sustainability awards.
The Retrofit Awards, announced in London on Wednesday September 14th, recognise and celebrate design, engineering and construction excellence that prolongs and improves the life of the built environment.

With £500 billion likely to be spent over the next three decades on upgrading existing housing, commercial and industrial buildings, retrofits are set to play a significant part of the future of the construction industry.
Aliva’s British Board of Agrement certified EWI systems have been installed in schools, hotels and on housing association properties across the UK.
Given that more than a third of the heat in a building is lost through its walls, Aliva’s high-quality insulated render delivers a crisp, contemporary finish for any energy-conscious building project.
Aliva’s EWI systems have also been awarded the Fraunhofer Institut fur Bauphysik certification for algae and fungal resistant coatings.

Meanwhile, Aliva’s suite of façade solutions deliver rainscreen cladding systems across a spectrum of materials that transform both the aesthetic and sustainable credentials of some of the UK’s most ‘tired’ buildings.

James Ormerod, Aliva UK MD, said:
“We are proud of the insulated render and rainscreen cladding solutions we offer, systems that leave a sustainable legacy on buildings. Supporting the AJ Retrofit Awards in 2016, which recognise innovation and best practice in sustainability, is a natural complement for our business. Good luck to those shortlisted.”
