The stunning architectural aesthetics and sustainability benefits of Aliva UK’s EWI clay brick slip system AlivaBrick has been recognised with five shortlistings in the prestigious 2025 INCA awards.

Its A1 rated, Kiwa certified system has three shortlistings in the Insulated Render and Cladding Awards New Build: Brick or Brick Effect Finish category with Swan Street House, Avon Point and Leeds II and two shortlistings in the Judges Choice: Architectural Design – High Rise category with Avon Point and Leeds II.

Swan Street House Manchester features over 10,000sqm of our Manchester Smooth Red AlivaBrick. Designed by architects SimpsonHaugh, we’re delighted to have partnered with main contractor RG Group and installer Stoneguard on this stunning development in the heart of Manchester for real estate investor, developer and operator Ridgeback Group with property management by ILA.

Avon Point Bristol is a showcase on the scale and versatility of our AlivaBrick system on this PBSA for Unite Students which has created grand, sweeping brick slip archways crowned with soldier bonds, alongside a mix of intricate laddering details with a shadow effect created from black slips, complemented by recesses, step outs and projecting banding. It features 7,000sqm of AlivaBrick in red multi and black, realising the design intent of architect Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson, working again in partnership with main contractor RG Group and installer PIC Construction Group.

Leeds II features 10,000sqm of AlivaBrick across two landmark octagonal towers of 26 and 31 storeys, realising architect Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher’s design intent without compromise for client HUB. A deliberate choice of a small complementary palette of colourways have created maximum impact and style, with points of brick slip flair including stretcher and soldier bonds and verticality of piers that guide the eye from ground to crown, up to the city skyline. Working again in partnership with main contractor RG Group and installer PIC Construction Group.

Ben Edmondson, Technical Director EWI Systems at Aliva UK, said: “We’re incredibly proud of these prestigious five shortlistings for our AlivaBrick system. This recognises how EWI brick slips combinations can create stunning aesthetics in the built environment, meet architectural design intent without compromise and contribute to the sustainability agenda with robust U-Values that demonstrate the thermal efficiency benefits that can be achieved.”
We are especially proud of our work in partnership with RG Group on this trio of projects, as well as a portfolio of developments across the UK, which are bringing flagship additions to the built environment.
With ongoing thanks to all our customers, partners and supply chain for the valued opportunities to be part of their projects.
Fingers crossed for the awards ceremony in November and good luck to all who are shortlisted.
